If you have been living under a rock on a deserted island without internet access for the last 10 years, you may not have heard about Peter Hegre. He won the Photographer of the Year category at the Erotic Awards 2001 in London, and a year later his website was launched and immediately blew all competition out of the water, being routinely considered one, of if not the best, erotic photography site in the world. All you need to do is arrive at the homepage, and it takes less than a second to understand why. This is Art.
The design of Hegre-Art is clean and reminiscent of a glossy magazine. This isn't uncommon on erotic photography sites, but in this case, the choice is fully justified. The experience of browsing through Hegre-Art is very much like slowly perusing a high-quality magazine, with different regular columns and great attention to every detail.
The "Galleries" section is arguably the most important part of the site. It's a huge collection of 2680 shoots stretching back to 2002, over 165,000 exclusive photos dripping sensuality, and a new set added each and every day. Navigating all this content couldn't be easier. There are options to sort the galleries by date, by views and by user rating, as well as a tag search. The photos can be viewed online in a slideshow and in seven different sizes (from 600x450 "Small" to 8176x6132 "XXXXLarge"), and are always packaged in Zip files in three different sizes too, for easy downloading.
"Films" follows the same structure as the "Galleries", with a focus on video rather than in photography. From striptease and erotically charged dance to masturbation scenes, always very tastefully done and with a carefully selected soundtrack, you can find a little bit of everything in the 381 videos in this section. The "Travel" section includes a behind-the-scenes journal of Petter's travels in his neverending quest to find the next perfect model. You can send erotic e-cards and download wallpapers, and you can purchase prints, books and other Hegre merchandise in the Store. There's even a Forum where you can keep in touch with Petter and with other members or even post your own photos.
Final Verdict:
